Issue Summary

A blind woman named Milla and her friend Lori are walking down a New York City street. As Lori leaves to go meet someone, she yells out because Milla is about to be hit by a truck. Daredevil swings by and scoops Milla off the street, sending them crashing into a storefront window. DD apologizes for Milla's injuries. He leaves the scene as Lori calls 911. Milla is stunned and can only muster a "Thank you".

At the Nelson and Murdock office, Matt has an appointment with Wilbur Day. Matt pretends to not know who Day really is... the Stilt-Man. Day is furious that Matt isn't acknowledging him properly. Day declares that he is quitting his criminal ways, and lets Matt know that criminals are scared of DD/Matt. He gives his Stilt-Man armour to Matt. He also details how he had a piece of the crumbled empired left by the Kingpin, by way of Vanessa Fisk, but in the end he was attacked by the Owl and lost everything. He's quitting for good. He's had enough. As he rants and raves, Melvin Potter enters the office and removes Day, all the while Matt continues his charade of not knowing who Day is talking about.

Later, DD coerces information from his sources in the underworld, looking for the Owl.

In a warehouse, the Owl hears about DD's interest in him and a botched transfer of payment from their night's activities. The Owl is furious, but his attorney/henchman Anad calms him down. Anad explains that Matt is a difficult target right now, with all his connections. The only way to win is to be smarter than him. The Owl agrees, but can't contain his rage and kills one of his men.

Milla awakes in the middle of the night, and goes to her apartment window. She remembers the sensation of feeling Daredevil's face after she was saved. She hunches over the window sill and murmurs "Daredevil..."
