Issue SummaryClick here for preview of DD512!SHADOWLAND #5 must be read before this issue... Ben Urich is outside the 18th NYPD Precinct with Detective Kurtz. Urich can't believe that the police are going to let the Shadowland castle remain standing. Kurtz says that it was built with legal permits and it's a matter with City Hall now. Urich says "thanks for the official line, but what's really going on?" He turns off his recorder. Kurtz says that the castle is still full of ninja. In the precinct, Kurtz meets with Captain Madison. The lights are still off, as everything is running on emergency power. Captain Madison has a job for Kurtz, but the detective quickly points out that someone else will have to take it, as he is resigning. Madison laughs at Kurtz. He knows Kurtz loves the job too much. He wants to have Kurtz bring Matt Murdock in, as the D.A. has issued a warrant for him. Kurtz says he'll see what he can do. At the offices of Nelson and Blake, the attorneys and Dakota sift through the rubble. Dakota reads the newspaper to see that Judge Kramer turned up dead... which seems like Kingpin tying up loose ends... which might help Foggy get out of his disbarment and also get Matt back. Becky can't believe what she is hearing. She says Foggy should open up solo, because it's time to let go of Matt Murdock. She can't trust him anymore and says if he's going to stand by Matt... it is time for her to say goodbye. She wheels herself out of the office (for good?). Within the Shadowland castle, Kingpin sits on the throne, telling his new Hand army that he is in command. Lady Bullseye deals with any dissenters. Iron Fist and Luke Cage are patrolling the rooftops of NYC, trying to find any sign of Matt Murdock. They catch a glimpse of someone dealing with some muggers. They pursue the person, who looks like DD. They realize it's the Black Panther. He tells them he now patrols the streets of Hell's Kitchen. Spread the word. In Chinatown, Dakota North storms her way into Night Nurse's clinic. But she is not looking for Daredevil. She finds Black Tarantula, healing from his wounds that White Tiger gave him. She wants to know why he didn't stop Matt. He says he tried, as he was Izo's inside man, but once Izo was thrown outta town, he couldn't handle it. And everyone is left to wonder... where is Matt Murdock? A bus terminal. Matt Murdock exits a bus, doesn't know where he is. He doesn't know how long he has been travelling. He reveals that he wasn't possessed when he took Bullseye's life. And it's a burden he has to carry. He became a murderer. And now he's going to walk down a long and lonely road...
