Issue SummaryDAREDEVIL #9 PreviewMatt Murdock has several pressing concerns... he's got the Omegadrive. He's spent time with the Black Cat. He owes Kirsten McDuffie a dinner date. With Foggy, they are inundated with business. But none of these things are the most important problem right now. Right now, he just wants his dad back. DD has ventured underground, where Moloids have taken several coffins from the cemetary where Jack Murdock was buried. The tunnels and vacuum-perfect silence keep him company. He follows the caravan of coffins quietly. But not quietly enough, as a pebble loosens and send some Moloids on attack. The others continue their trek with the coffins. After subduing his attackers, DD jumps on a coffin that is now floating on a river. His senses cannot see the monsters sitting quietly on the riverbanks. At the end of the river, the Moloids start moving the coffins again. At Matt Murdock's apartment, Black Cat is searching for the Omegadrive, as it's revealed she was hired by Black Spectre. She finds his hiding place but then has second thoughts about what she's doing. The reader is left to wonder if she's removing the drive, or placing it back. Back underground, the Moloids deliver their cargo to Mole Man. The blind villain is opening up all the coffins, clearing looking for someone in particular. DD attacks him and yells "How dare you?" DD gets Mole Man in an arm lock, but doesn't notice the electrically charged staff. DD is knocked down, weak. Mole Man tells his Moloids to dump DD in the pit. Mole Man finds who he is looking for. He pulls a woman out of her coffin and begins to dance with her.
DD is thrown into the pit and struggles to grapple out in time. He doesn't notice that pit has a mouth and sharp teeth.
