Daredevil CharactersCopperhead
Profile written by: Kuljit Mithra Copperhead was a pulp magazine character created in the 1930s. Lawrence Chesney's father was hired to pose as the artists' model for Copperhead. He became delusional, however, believing until his death he actually was the character. Later, this same delusion took root in the mind of Chesney's son. The younger Chesney, as Copperhead, embarked upon a murderous spree, often placing two copper coins on the eyes of his victims. Eventually, Daredevil encountered Copperhead; during their fight, Copperhead was struck by lightening and killed. Years later, Copperhead returned from the dead as a servant of Hell. He teamed with the Owl, Stilt-Man and the second Gladiator against Daredevil and Spider-Man. |
