Issue Summary

Summary/Review by Michael Deeley

Truly blind with his radar sense, Daredevil fights off a lumbering Ape-Man. Help comes in the unexpected form of the Plunderer and his brigands. After saving DD, they realize he's completely blind! Ka-Zar and Zabu return with Ju-ju berries for Daredevil, only to walk into a trap set by the Plunderer. The Plunderer claims he and Ka-Zar are brothers. To prove it, he pulls out half of a weird medallion. Ka-Zar then reveals the matching half! Before more can be explained, a cage is dropped on Ka-Zar. The jungle man quickly tosses the Ju-ju berries to Daredevil who eats them. His powers are quickly restored.

The Plunderer and his crew take our captured heroes to his estate in England. After drugging his crew, the Plunderer reveals his family history. Years ago, his father discovered a rare substance that produced energy waves that disintegrated metal. He sealed his only sample in a stone tomb that could only be opened with a medallion made from the same "Anti-Metal". He divided the medallion between his two sons-Parnival and Kevin. Lord Plunder was forced to flee, taking Kevin with him to the Savage Land where he first discovered the Anti-Metal. Now that he's found Kevin and the other half of the medallion, Parnival Plunder can unlock his father's Anti-Metal and build weapons to take over the world!

All of this is overheard by one of the Plunderer's crew, who knew his food was drugged. He's about to kill Parnival when he's killed by the butler, Peepers! (Peepers?) Peepers is an foreign agent who's been waiting for this moment! Angered by the madness of the 'outside world", Ka-Zar escapes with his half of the medallion. Daredevil pursue, Peepers calls his network of spies, and Parnival tells the police Ka-Zar and Daredevil are murderers.

Back in NYC, Foggy and Karen Page received news of the Plunderer's attack on Matt Murdock's ship. Matt hasn't been found, and is presumed lost at sea.
