Issue Summary

Summary written by Cliff Strickland

As this issue begins, we find Sir, the severely psychotic villain, assaulting cops while wearing the red costume Sir stole from Daredevil because Sir thinks the red suit contains power and energy. Meanwhile, a classic yellow garbed DD pays a personal call on Karen. Daredevil's loose grip on his own sanity is shown as he tells Karen he is the original DD and he's back and that Murdock's dead. He leaves without revealing his identity and goes to the gym to work out and think about who he really is. Later, Sir, still in DD's red suit, storms a police headquarters to kill cops and absorb their "male energy." The yellow costumed Daredevil fights and subdues Sir. DD then reveals Sir to be a girl who has been changed chemically and surgically to resemble a male. In the end, as DD is in a bathroom "looking" at his reflection in the mirror, he realizes that he can't see. As he pulls off his mask, he finally faces the truth that he is Murdock, Batlin, and Daredevil. Karen and Foggy find him maskless and take him away. Matt's thoughts reveal he has never put the incident where he accidentally (seemingly) killed a prostitute before his career as Daredevil. (See the classic Man Without Fear mini-series. See Daredevil/Deadpool Annual 97 for the "seemingly" part.)
