Issue Summary

Foggy is in his office, talking with a Mr. Peabody. Peabody is trying to convince Foggy of the merits of his legal document that would protect civilians from the threat of superpowered villains or heroes. All aspects of his plan will be at a dinner at the Plaza tonight. Peabody gives Foggy 3 invitations. Foggy has other plans for the third invitation.
Matt is in his office, with Sharpe, and he isn't exactly thrilled that she wants him to find out the foreclosure status of the Four Freedoms Plaza. The F.F. have gone missing and only exist in Jim Lee's brain right now...ahem... Matt rips up a file that Sharpe has given to him, and throws it in a wastebasket. Sharpe warns Matt that he should watch his step, or Foggy is out of the partnership.
Sharpe storms out of the office, and Foggy meets up with Matt. He presents Matt with the invitations to the Plaza. Matt 'reads' the invitation, and worries that this insurance company is running a scam. He thinks Misty Knight should check Peabody out. Foggy doesn't want to hear this, and tells Matt that Daredevil can't possibly protect the city against the likes of Galactus or Magneto, now that the Earth's Mightiest Heroes are gone. He storms out of the room...
Matt thinks he should contact the Black Widow and see how she is taking the disappearance of her fellow Avengers. He worries how Karen might take his little visit to see an ex-flame. On his way to Avengers Mansion, DD happens upon the Juggernaut, but notices that the Juggernaut isn't 'really' there. And he can detect a hallucinogen in the air. The fake Juggernaut makes a lot of mess, and disappears. Some bystanders start telling DD that if he can't protect them from harm, then their insurance policy will. DD wonders aloud as to the 'coincidence' of the event that just took place. Maybe he will join Foggy after all...
At Avengers Mansion, DD talks with Jarvis. The Black Widow is not at the mansion. Jarvis tells a story to DD about his faith that the Avengers will return. DD is left impressed by Jarvis' story.
At the Plaza Hotel, Foggy is sitting with Liz Osborn, and he is obviously gushing over her. He can't find the right things to say. She asks if Matt or Rosalind will be joining them. He says that Matt doesn't like these black-tie affairs and Rosalind's invitation got lost. However, in comes Sharpe, and Foggy tries to crawl under the table. Sharpe meets the two, and all exchange 'greetings'. Sharpe goes searching for Mr. Peabody...
Suddenly, a bright light appears in the centre of the room, and out comes Onslaught. DD appears and knows that this Onslaught is an illusion as well. So he somehow breaks the projection unit on the costume, and the true villain appears. It's Mysterio...and he promptly disappears.
Foggy frantically looks for Liz through all the smoke, and finds her. He begins to profess his true love for her, when DD comes by and nicely plants a fist in her face. Foggy can't believe it. However, DD pulls a wig off the 'lady' and there is Mr. Peabody. DD tells Foggy that Misty Knight found that Mr. Peabody worked for Mysterio's old studio, and knew special effects. With his insurance scheme, he could have made money off all the scared public. Foggy finds the real Liz, and she plants a huge kiss on him.
Matt returns home and finds Karen not exactly happy. She's bitter that Matt went to look for the Black Widow. She had found out from the T.V., since DD had been in an interview, and was wondering about 'the distraught Black Widow'. Matt claims it wasn't like 'that', but Karen doesn't believe that he didn't trust her enough. She leaves in a hurry...
