What did you guys think?

I think Javier Rodriguez and Alvaro Lopez did an admirable job of doing the artwork... it had a similar feel to Chris Samnee.
Interesting to see this look into Matt's past... reminded me of the story from issue #203, where we met another one of Matt's tormentors from his childhood.
Best part, we get another issue in 3 weeks.

Wow. Mark Waid is really rocking on Daredevil right now. The opening pages with the visit to Foggy was so poignant and authentic. I loved the two page sequence showing Daredevil mechanically stopping a mugging while thinking of his childhood tormentor. The courtroom sequence was very amusing. Just the range of emotions Waid and Rodriguez was able to trigger in me, the reader, was very impressive. I'm really looking forward to the next issue.

Waid offers an intriguing look into Matt's past. Matt believes that Nate is over-exaggerating the braggart behaviour that he claims Matt had. It's an interesting addition to the classic scenario of Matt being bullied simply because of his intense studying and lack of playing with others.

Rodriguez's art is phenomenal. His panel views of Matt bracing himself to re-enter Foggy's room spoke volumes.

Does anyone know the issue numbers of his encounter with the Sons of Serpents that was shown in flashback? Looked like the Defenders hanging there.

Just got #28 in the mail yesterday, great issue. Dimetre got it right about the wide range of emotions the material in the issue brings up.

Ordinarily this kind of story would have been a snoozer, but Mark Waid wrote some really great sequences: visiting Foggy in the hospital, arrogant kid Murdock, Matt's internal conflict with helping his former bully, and the self representation in the courtroom.

A great issue from the cover to the last page!! One of my favorites so far!! I really like where Waid is going with Matt!! The "arrogant kid Murdock" as Skaughtto said was just great!!! The idea of seeing Matt as a kid interacting with other kids and not just being bullied was simply great!! Well done Waid!!

Enjoyed the issue. One thing that I could relate to was Matt's struggle with the smell of Foggy's chemotherapy. Since the first of this year, I have been battling cancer. 4 rounds of chemo and there is a distinct smell that your body gives off as you metabolize the chemo. I couldn't smell it, but my wife said it is a pretty unpleasant smell.
