Thinking about picking this title back up. I'm trying to stick with books that are not over 2.99. I see DD is one of them. How has the series been since Waid took over? I only read the first trade. It was okay but not the DD I'm use to. _________________ Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken. |

Sure, why not. This arc is very intriguing. |

You definitely should give it another shot. If you were put off by the whimsical innocence of the first few issues, you might enjoy it a lot more now. It's gotten pretty twisted. How did you decide on issue 23, though? I think the next one is 21... |

Well I just read that 23 is where DD begins in the Marvel NOW titles. And the description said it was a good jumping on point. _________________ Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken. |

Yeah, Marvel's solicitation for 23 said it's a good jumping-on point, as this is when DD officially enters the Marvel NOW! world, whatever that means. I also would highly recommend Mark Waid's Daredevil. Any and all of them. Yes, it's not grim and dark like Bendis and Miller, but frankly, I love this rejuvenated DD. It's great that he's actually winning again (for the most part.) This new take has opened up so many new and different opportunities for stories and characterization that had been rather limited with the tone and style of DD for the last 20 or 30 years. This is an exciting book. It's fun, the stories are great, the art is wonderful, and it's just a joy to read. Definitely pick it up! |

I will. I just think when Waid took over it kinda put me off but the more I think about it it is a nice change but I hope they do go back to the darker grim DD we all know and love. Not saying this is a bad change just saying I hope it isn't going to be like this for the next few years. _________________ Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken. |

If you catch up with the series, I think you'll find that the colour scheme isn't as bright as it was since Volume 3 started, especially since Chris Samnee took over on pencils. It's not the gritty street noir series of Volume 2, but if you don't demand it remain that, I think you'll see that Mark Waid has a fantastic understanding of the character, and that his run is a breath of fresh air (a much needed one after Diggle's debacle). |

While I wasn't a huge fan of Diggle's run I didn't hate it like so many other people did. I even kinda liked Shadow Land. Though I did hate, and I mean HATE, DareDevil Reborn. _________________ Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken. |
