As I typed in the Shadowland #5 thread...
I'm pissed off that Diggle took it upon himself to tell us that Matt was in his right mind when he murdered Bullseye. I strongly disagree with those who say that Matt is a killer because of #181 and the helicopter pilot in Born Again. In those cases I say that he had no choice but to do what he did. Shadowland #1 he really did have a choice, especially since he had gotten the upper hand in the fight. This was very out of character, and because of this I believe Diggle has no business writing Daredevil comics.
I'll also add that a number of people were pleased when Brubaker returned Becky to the Daredevil book. Leave it to Diggle to remove her. |

She's still alive, but left the practice due to Foggy's steadfast loyalty to Matt. She can't trust Matt anymore. |

I thought the return of Becky / Becky joining the law practace thing was one of the more successful developments in recent years. It made sense in terms of characterisation and showed a long term evolution for an aspect of the title as a whole.
Trust Diggle to destroy this most recent innovation in one swoop. Class. |

Well, in this issue, I received my Marvel Subscription notice that the title was changing and I could swith titles if I wanted. I also noticed that the sub order card had changed as well reflecting the change with Black Panther taking the place of Daredevil. This is a bad sign; usually the change on the card only reflects a long term change. I'm a little worried now. I was hoping that DD would return after Reborn...doesnt' look like it now. Maybe the serious loss of sales will change Marvel's mind. Can't see BP selling as many issues. |

Do you know if the same thing happened when The Incredible Hulk changed to The Incredible Herc? |

I'll see if I can find some old cards and check it out. There are some books that never made it on sub, but lasted a while. Maybe they weren't planned to last so they didn't put them on. For example, Avengers Initiative- that lasted about 30 issues. don't know if that means anything, but I can't imagine they would change the sub if it were only for a few issues...and they gave us the option to dump it for a refund. |

I received my subscription renewal notice a few months ago. At that time, by some sheer ironic twist, my last issue would be #512. And no, I didn't renew it.
But if the title has changed on the order card itself, then no, that's not a good sign. When Matt does get back, we'll be looking at a new #1 of some new title. Just another money-maker for almighty Marvel. |

I wish I had the guts to stop at 512, but because of the collector's mentality and my hope that he returns to his own book, I will hold on.....for now. |

I think you can do it, Foggy's Pal. It's more likely to speed Daredevil's return to his series if you don't buy Black Panther. The only sad thing that would happen is another cancelled series for Black Panther, but hey... it's not his series in the first place. You're stronger than you're allowing yourself to be, Foggy's Pal. |

I'm weak; I will stick with it. I assume it will go something like this. Reborn will go 4 issues then we will get a new #1. It will go for about 12 issues and then fold back into Man without fear, which would put it at about issue #529. Normally they wait for an anniversary number, but 600 is too far away. |

Alright, I manned up today and switched my subscription from Black Panther. I suppose we need Marvel to get the message that we want DD back. |

Sooooo, it was T'Challa that Luke and Danny were chasing around rooftops all along? Given that BP was announced to take the title over a few months ago, having him mistaken for DD seems a strange introduction. He just shows up and declares himself the new protector of Hell's Kitchen, no fuss, no explanation.
Liked the Kurtz and Dakota parts, Becky leaving stinks, Foggy left with the practice in shambles again. Other than Foggy, why do I get the feeling this might be the last time we'll see these supporting characters? |
