sorry about the spoilers............but OMD has been all over the place since joe Q (also known as Joephisto, AlQuessada or whatever fans are calling him lately)) begin with his "I hate spidey married" tune.
truth is i think Joe Q is a excelent artist ( i love his early run with kevin smith and DD:Father ) and JMS is a great writer, but what they done to spidey it really sucks.
But my question was regarding Matt, his married life has lasted about 2 years? (6 months in comics life?), and altough i love Milla, it`s crealy that Matt still mourns Karen. I have faith that Bru will resolve it in a clean way (matt as a catholic will never make a deal with the devil.....he is "the devil" jajaja!!!)
should we make a poll? milla in or out?

Hey, that wasn't you, that was me. Francesco wasn't referring to the OMD stuff, but some of the things I alluded to when discussing Milla (but we're good, right Francesco? ).

How long have they been married in comic book time? They got married halfway into the "lost year" right? So I'm thinking that they should have been married a little over a year, even though they haven't seen much of each other in that time. (Kind of reminds me of a 17th century ancestor of mine (yeah, I'm a hobby genealogist, go figure) who was married for six months, then went to war and spent nine years as a POW in Denmark, only to have his wife to die within a couple of years after he came back. Long marriage, not a lot of quality time...)
I don't see the "he's still in love with Karen" as an argument for why they should split up though. Having a partner die and then finding someone else you can't love quite as much isn't reason enough not to stay with that second person. It's not like going back to the dead person is an option. I think Milla is pretty smart about it when she realizes that, unlike Karen, she can love him back. She's a real person and not a ghost. Then there's probably a tendency on Matt's part to idealize Karen because she's dead too, even though she probably was the love of his life. What Matt should probably do is see a psychologist and try to get over his lingering issues with Karen, but that would make way too much sense for a comic book character.

Yes, we should totally do a poll. But there should be more than two options, since both the "in" and "out" could happen in more than one way. Probably good idea to put a spoiler warning on the poll though.
UPDATED: I'm adding a Milla poll in a new thread. _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

Milla should stay! In my mind, she's the most interesting love interest Matt has ever had! She's human, and not only a comic character. _________________ you can't do the tea ceremony standing up! |

This is so funny. I was just thinking that you guys would make instant friends on this issue. I do agree though, I'm just not quite as overwhelmed. But, yeah, she's a character with great potential. _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

I'm new on the board, I've poster an introducing message yesterday!
I'm a french fan of DD, and I'm planning to do a blog about Milla, because I think she deserves better than a lot of people think, including in france! _________________ you can't do the tea ceremony standing up! |

You totally should, I would definitely read it! People seem to be pretty divided over the "Milla issue." They either like her a lot or not at all. Personally, I think that Matt might have more in common with her than with the other "normal" women (Karen, Heather, Glorianna...) he's dated. And by that I don't just mean that they probably have a shared preference for non-visual entertainment... I think Brubaker did a good job in issue #94 of showing that Milla may also be something of an adrenaline junkie with a fearless streak. And she also shares his love of Hell's Kitchen, which is nice. Anyway, I hope she sticks around. _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

As this thread is about OMD and the fate of Milla :I'm trusting Bru to write a good story.
And things could be much worse if the DD series had to be dealt on the OMD style, as you can see below :

I wonder if Matt has checked Stick-Milla's pelvic region with his radar sense. |
