I'm relatively new to Daredevil, coming in through David Mack's inclusion on End of Days, and then backfilling through the Bendis/Brubaker runs. I'm just starting Waid's run and I haven't read any of the Frank Miller work yet.

I noticed that there's a new Frank Miller omnibus as well as 3 TPBs that essentially collect the same material.

Anyone have thoughts or suggestions about which one to go after? They'll be about the same cost all said an done.

Well, I believe he starts actually writing issues (on his own) starting with 169, which is Elektra's first appearance.

He did artwork on the series before that and co-scripted some issues. I have one trade (that isn't a "Visionaries" one) that has those issues.

I've been re-reading his run. I hope you like them.

Born Again is on every list of the best graphic novels/comics series ever. It's the last Miller arc, so out of chronology, but none of us live forever, or spend every moment reading comics, so I would read that before anything else... at least know you've read the best.

The Miller Omnibus sold out super fast when it first came out so I bought the 3 TPBs. It's being reprinted this month and I intend to grab it this time mainly because it will look wicked beside the Omnibus Companion and the Elektra Omnibus.
