anyone know where I could possibly find this issue? Has been mission impossible trying to obtain one. Thanks for any help,

It is one difficult mother to find. I got mine after a couple of years. My local store never realized they had one until I asked. They thought they've sold every copy of it. Had to pay premium though. About 100USD. You just need to be patient and check eBay or other on line auction on a daily basis.

Thanks!! I saw you were able to snag one, congrats. I check ebay everyday and also a couple of online comic book mega stores. I am going to a comic-con this May, hopefully can snag one there. No idea why I did not pre-order this lesson learned. Rolling Eyes

Hey Griff3bl,

Don't know if you saw (or maybe you successfully bought) but on ebay last week, there were two Neal Adams Variant Daredevil #1 issues for sale. One went for around $225 and I think the other one went for around $275. Too rich for my blood.

If I am doing my math correctly, if they sold around 65,000 copies of #1 and the ratio is 75:1, then the max number of copies out there I think would be around 850. Of course, not all shops buy 75 copies (but then again, some may buy more than 150).

Stay optimistic! If I see one on ebay again or elsewhere, I'll let you know.

There's one up on mycomicshop.com right now, but it's $275! Surprised

I'd love to have one too, but that is just a crazy price for a comic book that's new or not Hulk 181 or Spider Man 129. LOL

I am glad that I bought mine the day it came out. I figured that Daredevil isn't a big seller which probably meant that there wouldn't be too many of the Adams variant floating around.

Plus, it's Neal Adams. And it looks cool...

I am pretty sure that I paid $50 for it.
