It seems like a lot of Daredevil villains have reformed or toyed with the idea of reforming.
Now guys like Bullseye, Mr. Hyde, Mr. Fear and Purple Man are far too psychopathic and vile to ever really change.
Kingpin has toyed with the idea of getting out of the racketeering business, but ultimately chooses not to.
Elektra started out as a villain and arguably became an anti hero later.
Some of the D-list villains have reformed, the original Matador reformed and has been replaced by a newer version, the original Leap-Frog retired crime and his son became a D-list super hero named Frog Man.
Stilt-Man toyed with the idea of reforming, in the "Lowlife" story he gave his costume to Matt and said he was leaving his life of crime. However he was later killed by the Punisher.
Jester is an odd case, he reformed back in the 80s, in a story written by Denny O'Neil. But a couple of decades later he is back to committing crimes with no explanation on why he is a criminal. That is kinda annoying, it would be nice to know why he is a criminal again, give some character development.
Gladiator is a tragic case, he was reformed for decades, but was forced back into crime by the manipulations of Alexander Bont and Mr. Fear. The next time we see him he could be a friend or foe. Gladiator needs a follow up story done with him in the near future.
So, are there any villains who you think should reform? Are there any reformed villains who you think should go back to crime? |
