I suppose I never quite knew the extent of involvement of the editors in the comics creative process, so this was really an entertaining read for me.
Great questions, and excellent in-depth answers, Mr. Arbona! Thank you both! _________________ Alice

But that's a testament to the richness of a character like Matt Murdock (or Peter Parker, or Bruce Wayne, or Tony Stark), that you can tell a story with them out of the costume and it can still be as interesting and engrossing as any of their superhero adventures, without having to depend on the other identity as a counterpoint. I don't think you can quite say the same about Captain America, or Thor... and definitely not about Superman, or Wonder Woman, or the Flash
I'm glad someone has said this, because it's so true. There are still many characters who do not work out of costume as well as they do when they are in it.
For me, Matt is THE perfect out-of-costume character. Peter Parker is a close second, but I've never found myself aching for Matt to get back in costume because he's so interesting as he is.
Very cool interview. |
