Some random comments about the show...
* Marko Djurdjevic confirmed he is not doing the covers for DD anymore, but says he'd love to come back someday... he just needs a change... he is still working on Marvel covers
* Djurdjevic didn't like how dark the DD500 cover printed
* I asked Alex Maleev if he's still working on DD: End of Days and he looked at Djurdjevic and said "Isn't that your book?" and got "Nope, that's your book" in response. After I reminded Maleev what was on the cover that was released a few years back, he remembered and said he hasn't done anything on that since then... maybe 2-3 covers are done.
* I asked Maleev about potential DD Motion Comics, and he said he thinks it may happen because most of the material is in place already from his and Bendis's run.
* Both of them were great and if you've got the cash, check out the Marvel Art of Marko Djurdjevic book.
* Djurdjevic also confirmed info that I had already learned about the week before... In addition to Brubaker & Lark leaving the title, editors Warren Simons and Alejandro Arbona have also left (with Simons leaving Marvel on Friday for freelance work and Arbona assigned to a new job under another editor). I do know the new editing team, but I'll wait for Marvel to announce that.
* Watching Bill Sienkiewicz sketch something is truly something to behold. He was using everything he could get a hold of to make effects with his inks.
* Jeff Lemire was very nice to autograph and sketch his two books I bought off him. And he's Canadian!
* If I remember any more things, I'll add them to this post...

That stinks. I really like his covers--he's a great artist |
