Eh, I would rather have something that makes sense, rather than having a needlessly shocking ending that makes no sense and involves people acting OOC just for the sake of being "shocking".

Well, Overlord, I'm sure there will be plenty of discussion when the issue and subsequent thread comes out. I wouldn't call the big reveal "shocking," but the story better make some sense. But, let's discuss this when the issue comes out since some people might not be reading the Preview the way we did. Still, when the issue comes out, the scrutiny will begin.

You are only saying this because you wanted me to go postal. Razz

I reserve judgement until I can read the complete story. Afterall, it is revealed in the last panel of a preview and no reason is given yet.

Hilarious man! Laughing

Have a great Holiday bud.

You know, this was the first time in a long while where I didn't even have a debate with myself about looking at the preview. I knew I had to look instantly.

Bru, you have to ensure that this with the first arc is going to be OVERSIZED hardcovered!

Clayton, so many questions arise with respect to #92. Is The Kingpin aware that Vanessa is in ailing health? In the recent War Crimes #1, Wilson certainly appears to be omniscient and all-knowing! Vanessa's psyche is yet another issue. Vanessa apparently is prepared to forgive Wilson for his many transgressions. But she brutally assassinated poor hapless Richard - ! Her actions are very perplexing. Were it not for Matt's intervention in years past, Vanessa would likely be a vagabond, living in penury. But she orchestrated Foggy's "death," robbing Matt of his closest confidante! As I noted in a prior post, it is obvious that Vanessa has become unhinged. Who will this mentally unbalanced (and tragic) figure bequeath her vast fortune to? Matt - or Wilson?

Somehow I don't believe Matt would accept Vanessa's fortune as it comes from dirty money. That would be a serious compromise on his part, and I just don't see it.

Matt has engaged in quite a few uncharacteristic behaviors as of late, Darediva (collaborating with the homicidal Frank Castle, fleeing the authorities, etc.). It is difficult to foretell. Hell's Kitchen could most assuredly use an infusion of cash!

Also, given that Matt will likely have to confront an ominous, sinister new threat in the months to come (in the form of an aspiring new crimelord) the Fisk fortune would definitely prove to be an enormous asset!

I haven't read issue # 92 yet, but let ask this question, why after spending all this time trying to torment DD, would she decide to leave her fortune to DD?

Personally I'm oppossed to it, DD shouldn't be the poor man's Batman.

Vanessa has defintiely taken leave of her senses, Overlord, so anything is possible. As I noted, she has no kith and kin (to our knowledge), leaving either The Kingpin - or Matt - as likely beneficiaries. It could be a compelling plot; imagine The Kingpin's reaction if Matt were to inherit this fortune! In effect, The Kingpin will have created a monster!

Vanessa going from trying to torment DD to leaving him all her money seems like a strech for me. She wouldn't tell that Foggy is still alive, she doesn't like him, why would she give him her money. It would more sense if she left all her money to charity, to make up for family's sins.
