But does that mean Foggy was left out entirely?
The tux is weird. Neither Foggy nor the Fixer are particularily associated with tuxes. _________________ JC

True, but the bowtie is a fairly 'Foggy' touch.

I think he's Foggy. He's by far more important to DD's mythos than the Fixer. |

True, but he looks like a mean SOB and is grouped with the villains. I don't think it's Foggy. Could we have Djurdjevic comment on this? _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

If you ask me, when I saw the character's hairdo and Bowtie I thought "Foggy"... But then, I agree with you all that the badass expression of the character in the cover is somewhat not coherent with the Nelson we've known for years (though I must say that seeing "Foggy" and Kingpin at the same level made me think of the Ann Nocenti run)
I'd say, I'd expect good Ol' Franklin to appear with a sweeter expression on his face...unless, as a big surprise for all the DD readership, Nelson is finally revealed to be the new Marauder, the new Kingpin or the new, and fully revamped, Stiltman. _________________ Gloria

Adenda: The character seems to be wearing one of the 'orrible plaid suit he used to wear in the past (oh, puh-leez let's not come back to the Foggy in Plaid suit!!) _________________ Gloria

I think it's Foggy. Other than the "bad" expression nothing really suggests it's Fixer. _________________ JC

Yeah, it's Foggy.
My question is where's Ben Urich?? Kind of had a pretty significant part in DD's mythos. Oh well, at least the Black Tarantula, Lady Bullseye and Echo are there. _________________ rgj |

Not in the 2Ks and especially not after all the crap that keeps happening to them :p |

I don't think it's Foggy.
But who it is exactly...I don't know.
Could it be their land lord from the earlier parts of DD?
Edit...
Upon further investigation, and making it my desktop background. It should be Foggy, even though the facial expression isn't quite him. They wouldn't leave him out. |

Foggy would make the most sense...he just didn't look quite right. I'm also not sure we can call that the 'villain' side of the piece as Battlin' Jack, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage are all over there (no biggie, just sayin').
Just to throw something else out there...if you look at the high res copy that was posted in the original cup o' joe on myspace the blood splatter on the playing cards trickles down and forms words - I can't make them out...thoughts??? _________________ https://twitter.com/tburnham7

I'm actually beginning accept that that is Foggy. Even though he just looks wrong. Though when I said villain side, I didn't mean the entire right side of the cover, just the section he's in, more or less.

The words on the playing card are: "Fin de siècle" = end of the century. _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

"Fin de siècle" also has connotations of the 'end of an era', doesn't it? I guess it's a reference to it being Brubaker's last issue. |

Yes, the expression has a broader meaning, like the one you mentioned. _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |
