Miller all the way. He was awesome.
Bendis was terrible, did not get the character, had whole stories that he may as well not have been in, can't remember the name but why was the kingpin usurper story a DD story?? Also his dialogue was rubbish.
'His dialogue was rubbish?'
'His dialogue was rubbish?'
'Yes rubbish'
'Rubbish?'
Repatition is not dialogue!! _________________ when walking just walk, when sitting just sit, above all don't wobble. |

Hence, when it comes to Daredevil. No one compares to Frank Miller, it's just that I like Bendis' story-telling more.
It's normal not to like what is considered to be the best or most popular. Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man are superheroes that can be, and generally considered as more popular than Daredevil, but none of them is my favorite. |
Of course, the ultimate irony is that Bendis IS the popular choice right now. I think a lot of people on this board regard Miller (or others) higher but the average comic fan knows more about Bendis. _________________ JC

I must say, that in retrospect, Bendis wasn't that great at all. Nocienti and Chichester were better than Bendis. _________________ rgj |

Agreed. Although, I freely admit that at the time I love the hell out of his run (except maybe near the end). Just doesn't have the staying power though. _________________ JC

And what band can really compare to The Fall? |
Fixed that for you.
Oh, ...and the answer to the other question is Ann Nocenti. _________________ Do you think your petty concerns matter to such as I? |

It's Miller for me. He did such a revolution in the comics. Now, he's a parody of what he was, but Born Again is just the best comic book ever written.
Bendis was great. "Out" is one of the best DD story ever written, but Born again was better, and Bendis didn't seemed to know where he was going at the end of his run.
And like many of you, I prefer Nocenti over Bendis |
