It's not a Newsstand Edition but I think Marvel's Greatest Comics Edition of Volume 2 #26 should be included in the variants section of Volume 2.

As a completest, I definitely think all variants, including "reprint" variants should be included in the variants section for two reasons: 1) So that they are documented and can be verified that they exist, and 2) so DD fans can tell the differences between issues (especially when they may look very similar).

Although this is just a thread about the newsstand variants, and I did another on the action figure/marvel legends reprint variants too, I have really been meaning to do a thread on other reprint variants (like the JCPenney 2nd Prints from Vol.1, and the Vol. II's #26 MGC version that you posted (thank's for the pic btw).

I recently picked up the Whitman variants of Vol. I too, but I don't know if K. wants those minor variants, as they aren't much different than the direct vs newsstand editions or price variant editions... the covers are basically identical except for maybe the barcode or issue # block/diamond.

Thanks for contributing Ryu... I'm actually still trying to get a copy of the Marvel's Greatest Comics reprint of DD Vol. II #26 (mainly because I'm a cheap bastard, and I'm trying to find a good copy for only $1).

Take Care,
--Coop
