I can say something--it's a load. The only thing I can think of that the two books have in common, besides being superhero books, is that they both have "twist" villains. Other then that, they're both completely different stories.

Glad someone else mentioned this, the 2 stories are nothing alike, its pretty stupid to compare them.
GD is a good story, good art and yes its a nice break from the constant cloudiness and rain of the Bendis era, it has some decent scenes and is ultimately pretty entertaining which is the point really.
It also pretty much saved DD, jumping its sales into the top10, which i don't think Bendis ever did and virtually no one but Smith could have made this happen.
Alot of people like to try to bring down the popular and the art done for entertainments sake, like virtually ever blockbuster movie ever made, they are about fun and getting fans, GD achieves both of these goals. Its always easy to poke holes and be cynical of blockbusters, movie critics do it all the time, luckly these are created for the fans and not the sad, cynical critics. _________________ when walking just walk, when sitting just sit, above all don't wobble. |
