The Message Board is currently in read-only mode, as the software is now out of date. Several features and pages have been removed. If/When I get time I intend to re-launch the board with updated software.

Does the cover of #100 have any real significance?

And I doubt Frank Miller is going to draw from anyone else's script.

Which is too bad. The only thing that would have made the guest artist section of #50 cooler would have been a Miller drawn shot of a naked Matt Murdock punching a hole right through Kingpin's head while saying "I'm the god damned Batman".

First, you'll probably never see Mazzuchelli drawing superhero comics again.

You just made me spend a box of "Kleenex" crying. He just drew two of my favourite superhero stories EVER.

Wait... yes, that's it!

That is the twist to the next arc. Mister Fear will send Matt Murdock to the breaking point by sending his greatest fear, his most blood-curdling nightmare, right at him... The Mole Man!

Yes, absolutely brilliant! Laughing

(I know it wasn't even funny the first time, let alone the fourth time, yet "Mole Man" still lingers... I can hear all you people groaning from here Embarassed )

In all honesty, I think your Mole man idea is an interesting one.

Never underestimate the power of dreams: Freud made a career out of it Cool

...It seems clear from this outline and the cliffhanger in DD# 99 that Mr. Fear will trap DD in a nightmare world, making a prisoner of his own mind...

To me, the use of the word "nightmare" parallels "fear", on one level or another. The solisitation tagged nothing specific.

On the other hand, I don't disagree with your interpretation. It may end up being just that, it's difficult to say exactly, at this juncture.

As far as the cliffhanger at the end of DD#99, I can't gauge that. (Silly me,) I had not yet gotten my hands on a copy, so I can't accurately comment on that, but it's safe to say that (based on Mr. Fear's M.O.) there will be a psychological attack on dear ol' Matt (it remains to be seen if battles will be waged in the landscape of Matt's subconscious, though).

I think the preview lends some credibility to my theory (watch out spoilers):

Besides you have to admit artist changes won't be jarring in a dream world.

A Michael Turner variant DD cover?! I've been waiting to see something like this for ages! Cool
