after reading some of the comments I have concluded that, as much as I hate what has happened to Daredevil with his identity having being publicly confirmed and his powers revealed, I would NOT like a drastic restoration such as a "it was all a dream" or a thing like Spider-man's "one more day".
I would rather the writers keep building on it and slowly restore everything.

I actually like lightningandice's idea quite a bit. As jriddle said, it didn't address everything, but with a tweak here and there it could easily put DD's identity back where it was at the end of Bendis' run. As for DD's status as a lawyer, it doesn't make sense to have him go back to that, at least not in a traditional sense, unless his identity were to revert to the way it was prior to Bendis. Like Waid or not, he made a very valid point at the beginning of his run about how Matt's secret identity would affect court cases.

I am from the Philippines. I speak and write quite well in English but still, I am not an American. So I ain't familiar with laws in the States.

Please...someone...anyone...enlighten me. How different are laws in NY and CA? I mean, he had to leave NY as he can not practice law there anymore; he was disbarred. Won't he be disbarred in CA if he practice law and continue being Daredevil and use his powers to one up people he may be trying in court?

I see no point to revealing his identity if this is the case.

Ryu, I had the same thought, as soon as DD was involved in anyway, or even his invovlment hinted at, the case would be lost.

I like some of the answers to the problem on here, although a deal with the devil restart would be almost as silly as the monster town story line a while back and be Spidey rip off.

Maybe a more practical solution would be to say it was a stunt to outwit the Serpent Society, DD didn't show his powers, he only spoke about them, with one of his super hero friends impersonating him he could easily 'prove' that he is not DD. Further with Antman or Mr Fantastics help he could also obtain special ear protectors which will nulify excessive sounds to stop this being used against him, but he can switch them off when he needs super hearing.

There is a reason why you have secret spies, secret agents, secret service, secret identities...... etc . except you want to live in fort knox you cant realistically get any thing done (paparazzi ..???\\\). DD can survive longer becos of his early warning system but that can be countered the real issue is anyone perceived to be close to him that person is a walking target practice by the number of enemies DD has racked up over years. So he can't be an average joe walking on the street. So it has to change back. the best way to do it get another character to be DD for awhile and kill him or her off in public. and Matt steps back in. Good thing he is still wearing his mask. Another thing X-men and some avengers change costumes why not Matt ?
