Who, in the DD rogue gallery, has the money to do that kind of thing ?

The Kingpin
Mister Fear / Cranston
The Owl
of Course the Deathstalker (knowing that his mother was able to create an army of bomb robotic little girls, it's possible)

Purple Man may be the kind of man who could do this, but I don't think he has the money for... So I count him out.

And who can make all of the attacks personnal like this ?

The Kingpin
Mister Fear / Cranston (I think it's him but may be wrong)
DeathStalker (He is really mad and can observe anything from his dimension)

You can count out the Owl, don't think he has such a personnal knowledge of Matt.

who would have a robotic voice ? This time, Kingpin is out, I can't see him wear a mask or something like that.

So I can only see Mister Fear / Cranston (for the gaz mask which may give him a robotic voice) or DeathStalker (for the reason sited above) as logical choices.

For me, Mister Fear is my first suspect, but Deathstalker is the one I would prefer, mostly because we haven't see him for such a long time and he has so much potential.

Purple Man does have the money for this, he can ask almost anyone to give him money and he will get it, Purple Man currently runs his own super villain group and spent months secretly running a casino he stole from the mob in the MODOK's 11 mini series, he can easily get money.

As for Death-Stalker, the big concern is how you would bring him back, without it seeming cheap and contrived, mainly because his death was one of the most memorable things about him.

I would like it to be Mr. Fear.

But I am pretty sure I am wrong.

I am really hoping for Deathstalker, he was just too cool of a villian to stay dead forever.

Hey maybe we are all wrong and it's really the Surgeon General behind this all? Razz

Has anyone else noticed? The mystery villain has touched different important aspects of Matt Murdock's past. His origins, his powers, Milla, Jack Murdock... yet, a very important element of his past has been left out so far: Karen. Is it intentional?

Besides luring DD to the spot where Karen was killed and trying to dishonor her memory there, in a prelude to a final battle, what can said villain do to touch upon Karen Page? It seems like dishonoring Karen's memory would be the final move he would make against Matt, not something he would do now, at this time.

That's a really good question. There is another possibility for the villain. When you look at the preview, you see that the villain in question is in some kind of steal or lead sarcophagus.

He seems in pretty bad shape (hasn't Ikari already said that the villain "is kept alive by his hate of Matt ?")

There is only one possible reason if he is kept in such a sarcophagus : If he is dying or very ill due to radiation poisoning.

Who, in the Daredevil past, could have access to personnal information on Matt (maybe via someone very close to Matt), and suffer of radiation poisoning after a confrontation with him ?

Who could have the money to do that, and his clever and mad enough to do that ?

I guess we have missed a possibility in this poll, and it is someone who would have a very good reason not to do anything about Karen... Paxton Page, her own father !

(wasn't he victim of cobalt radiation poisoning ?)

His current condition (he is supposed to have died by protecting DD and Karen) plus the death of his only child (which he could believe is due to Matt, something that isn't false) may give him enough hate to torment Matt

Samnee mentioned The Hand in his interview. I thought Waid said he wasn't going to use them though. Plus isn't Kingpin leading them now? They're supposed to show up in Superior Spider-Man #14 when he fights Shadowland.

Kingpin and the Hand are too obvious though, I don't think Waid would use them as the mysterious villains.

Exactly.

I "feared" the same when I saw the ninjas in the DD 25 preview. I told myself "I hope it's not Wilson Fisk AGAIN, it would be so obvious. It's done to death in this comics."

I hope that Mark Waid take his promise when he said "I won't use him at all in any of my DD stories". Kingpin was all over there since Miller. It's really time to give him a rest for at least 3/5 years (the time to work on the whole rogue gallery which need some work and to have a real impact when good old Wilson Fisk finally returns)

Honestly, I would take Deathstalker, Mister Fear, Purple man, Paxton Page / Death head (I do think that a revamped Paxton Page would be a very interesting and dangerous villain for DD with some work) or the Owl over the Kingpin

But I'm really confident, with the preview, that it isn't Wilson Fisk at all : http://marvel.com/images/gallery/story/20618/friday_qa_chris_samnee/image/952838

That's a good question. It could be Kirsten McDuffie, like many suspected.

It could also be that Deathstalker woman if the mastermind is revealed to be the Deathstalker.

Could be Insomnia if it is Mister Fear.

If it is Paxton Page, on the other hand... I don't know. I just hope that it is not Karen...

I'm fairly certain it cannot be mister fear. the man inside that iron thing looks (and is said to be) in critical condition. Mr fear was better than ever last time we saw him.

There's a lot of good guesses here, guys.

Death-Stalker seems like a good choice, considering there is also a female version as well, and D-S was brought back in that story with Captain America & DD.

Paxton Page also makes sense, considering the radioactive component of his backstory and as Death's Head (which is also funny, considering Death-Stalker also became Death's Head didn't he?)

What if the woman is the baby Karen? She has ties to the ninja part of Matt's life... okay, okay, that's not likely, since there's no way she would be a grown woman since the events of Guardian Devil. Very Happy

Less than a week away until we find out!

Ikari says, in one of the last panels:
"Now you know how your life will end. and by whose will"
Why does he say that? what happened of so "revealing" that Matt would "now know" who's behind all of it?
