Fellow Daredevil Comic Collectors!
I am beginning to casually collect the first volume of Daredevil -- from issue 1-380. (I have everything after that...)
Right now I have around 25 random issues...
Here are some things that I would like to see and read:
Pictures of your prized DD comics
Pictures of what your currently buying
What did you pay? (If you are comfortable saying...)
What issues are you looking for?
And other things that I am not smart enough to come up with...
I can't wait to see where this topic goes,

I wish it was easier to collect all the single issues or that more trades would be available for vol. 1. I have the first three essential books covering up to issue 74, and will soon get the next two which take me to 125...?
Vol. 2 and onward is all collecting in trades, but not vol 1. What a pity...
Oh well...
Same thing with Spiderman. I'm sure Marvel at one point just decided to offer trades on all runs, which I'm thankful for. |

I have been collecting DD since the 3rd grade. I have vol.1 #145 onward and also all the Black Panther comics where he is "The Man Without Fear".
#500 as you can see sits on my headboard.
I have CGC 9.8 of #-1 Flashback, vol. 2 #1 and #2.
Currently in love with my vol. 3 #1 variants since it was hell getting the Adams variant. Which is also the most expensive DD comics I acquired. I had to shell out about a 4,000PHP (Philippine Peso that's 100USD), but money well spent I must say. _________________ "I'm only a DEVIL to those who are demonic." |

I'm in the middle of the same project. Buying full runs is the way to go if you want to save money and time. If you win some big lots on ebay, you might be able to get 192-380 for ~$1 per issue or less.
The three Frank Miller trade paperbacks cover from 158-191. Essential Daredevil Vol. 1-5 would get you all the classic stories from 1-125... the reprinted TPBs are a nice way to read the stories. If you want something nicer than the b/w essential books, the Marvel Masterworks series is spiffy, but only runs up to issue 63.
I have 9 issues below #184: 30, 43, 51, 53, 146, 153, 163, 176, & 181 - which I mostly bought because I liked the covers. Someday I may chase some key issues like #1, #131 and #168, but I've got enough reading to do at the moment... MMW vol1 &2 and re-reading the Frank Millier Visionaries books. |

Here's a comic that I never thought I would own...
I got it just today -- and it completes my run of Vol. 2 of Daredevil...
Pretty happy!

That's an impressive collection. I am going to hold onto my Adams variant very tightly.
Thanks for sharing!

Hi. I got all the single issues from vol. 1 # 51 up until today (plus the most significative graphic novels and the separate series, including the crap that Shadowland was). Now I'm going for the first 50. I got them all on eBay, it cost me time and money, but for me it was pretty much the only way since I live outside the US and in a small town with no comic stores. My suggestion is to buy them in (small) lots (e.g. 8-10 issues), you'll end up maybe having some issues twice, but it's going to be anyway faster and cheaper than buying them one by one. Enjoy it |

Good job!
One day my collection may be as complete as yours...
