Had an interesting chat with my shop today after reading the Previews solicitation. $95 US is going to be the retailer's cost to bring the book in. This is really going to be the most expensive Artist Edition to date. 150 maybe? I'm not sure.
Anyone want to by a Leafs jersey? _________________ Love is blindness, I don't want to see

So, is the retail $95, or is that the cost to the retailer? I ordered mine with the thought that the price was $95 for consumer. |

It feels like Christmas Eve!
It'll be so hard to get work done tomorrow knowing this is just 3 blocks from my office. My kids will get a kick out this. Hell, I'm going to get a kick out of this! _________________ Love is blindness, I don't want to see

Just picked up my Artist Edition- it is amazing! It's huge, the art is gorgeous, and the vellum overlays are such a nice touch. This book is well worth the money! |

I didn't get my copy... my shop decided to forget they were supposed to order it for me after I told them to. Sigh.
I did get a chance to speak with Scott Dunbier, the editor on the project, so I hope you guys enjoy the interview:

Thanks to Clayton for providing me with pics I could use! _________________ Kuljit Mithra

I am happy to help with the pics. Sorry, they lack a "professional" quality. My wife never lets me take pics. She says that this is my kyptonite.
I do hope that you are able to get a copy Kuljit. This is simply, without a doubt, the greatest book ever for a DD fan. Seriously.
I plan on taking some time Saturday or Sunday morning (maybe before the big Euro final?) and reading all of this slowly. It will be an entirely new experience. I am absolutely thrilled that there is new (2007) art in this by David. He was so thoughtful to provide new right page chapter breaks so that the left page would always be for a cover and page 1 of a chapter would always be immediate on the right. This was obviously meticulous in its formation and so worth every penny because of this.
There are 5 overlays in this. 3 are for covers and 2 are for interiors. I wish there were more, but I understand the originals were just too delicate to keep for a long time. Does anyone know if previous Artist Editions have such pages?
One day I hope there is something exactly like this for Batman: Year One. IDW and DC together? It doesn't have to be, but I do think Scott Dunbier is a master at putting these together. Someone needs to ask David if he still has all of his pages for Year One.
Don't miss out on this. I am certain that this will sellout just like previous editions.

Just watched this preview on youtube

Mine is in the mail now from DCBS. I can't wait.
It really does feel like Christmas!
With this book and the Waid series, this really is yet another golden age for Daredevil fans!
The only way it could be any better is if IDW announces a Frank Miller/Klaus Janson artist edition |

Hey Kuljit, did you ever get a copy? It would be great to know what you thought about this edition? I just got mine in the mail but am holding off looking at it until I can get some quality time. Anyway, hope your shop came through! _________________ GrinchieDog |

Got my copy and it's simply spectacular! There are copies on eBay quite often if you cannot get one at your local shop. _________________ ----------------------
