Yes, that's what I think. The beast could be a manifestation of Mephisto. |

Gambit as DD is a very bad joke (like kraven as DD, being said) I just hope Marvel wasn't serious on this, or they need to replace their direction very quickly. |
The guy was just throwing out a red herring-type deal to get X-Men fans to pick up a DD book. Don't even worry about it. _________________ Bullseye, 1976-2010. RIP. |

I think that means DD isn't going to be reborn. I think the death of DD will be seen as martyrdom, and through the cliche of his death being a powerful symbol, another (or others) will take up the mantle. I severely hope this isn't the case, but that's what it sort of looks like. |

All I know is that we've only been in re-numbering for 10 issues.
If they start a new volume now, only to inevitably re-number it later, I'll be pissed.
I'm not gonna be pissed at anything until it happens and I see it as something deserving of being pissed about. I just hate the idea that Marvel seems to think Daredevil needs shaking up. He doesn't, neither does his title. |

Those covers are amazing! Seeing work like that makes me wish Jock would be the ongoing artist post Reborn. And I will say it again, Rucka should be the writer. Maybe we will get some answers at New York Con. |

Well according to Newsarama the Daredevil title will continue with issue no. 513 starting in December but with a new Man Without Fear in the role....... The Black Panther... huh...

It's not continuing, it's being called Black Panther: The Man without Fear.
I think they may be continuing the numbering, which is just stupid, because I'm gonna end up with a massive gap in Daredevil now. |

Which is really frustrating if you keep track of your collection at http://www.comicbookdb.com. (Excellent site, which I highly recommend as a place to keep track of your collection.) They list series by the origination date and the copyright indica, so I've got over 100 issues of Daredevil from the 1998 series, then all of a sudden, I have about 10 from the 1964 series, because Marvel started the re-numbering based on that series.
My real point here is that you should check out comicbookdb.com if you haven't already. That, and that Marvel really sucks sometimes. _________________ Bullseye, 1976-2010. RIP. |

I don't quite follow...
I've got all of Daredevil's issues besides Daredevil #3, I think. Vol.1 goes from #1-#380, then Vol. 2 goes from #1 to #119, with #120 being #500. Because 120 + 380 = 500.
Point is, if they keep the numbering, i.e. Black Panther: The Man without Fear #513 or whatever, then I'll have to keep buying it. For collection's sake. |

i think the covers looks pretty cool, i like the 1st one more (the former one being alittle more unique then the latter) but both cool none the less.
i'm going to get annoyed if they restart the numbering, i mean it's unnesesary at this point since it's only been like 11 or 12 years since they issued volume 2 of DD. It'll just get into confusion when people try to talk about certain old issues witout being specific. |

I love Jock's sense of design. The cables winding in a chalk outline and the lights of the building shining the DD logo are particularly creative. However, I'm not crazy about his depiction of the broken billy clubs. I'm not sure if their actual material has ever been disclosed, but considering the fact that DD blocks katanas and deflects bullets with them, I doubt they'd splinter like wood. _________________ "When it comes to that one final, fatal act of ending you...my gun has no bullets."
