This issue was pretty sweet. It's cool that Dakota went back to her 1980s roots of blowing people away like nothing. My only gripe with the book was when the two hand ninjas stopping the robbery turned out to be imitators. That "surprise" took all the power out of what could've been an awesome scene.

I thought the art fit the DD book better than in issues 505-507. And for that matter, I think Checchetto's art fits the Shadowland storyline better than Tan or De La Torre. And the coloring blew me away. I love how Matt Hollingsworth always adapts his technique to whichever artist he's coloring. He brings the art to its utmost potential.

I just think this whole thing is a horribly mismanaged disaster.

That scene with the imposters portraying the Hand was horrible. What was the point? Oh no... Look at the terrible thing that happened to the people who were acting stupid. Was I supposed to feel bad for them? Was the Beast making them act stupid?

Also, if anyone is questioning Elektra's intentions, the Shadowland: Elektra one shot spells out her intentions quite clearly.

With no reasoning behind why these two kids would want to impersonate Hand ninjas, that whole scene falls flat.

Otherwise, this issue was decent, the best part of which was, of course, the art. Far superior and moody than Tan's work in the Shadowland mini. The opening street shot scene and Fisk's intro were great. The action was more intense than Tan's bland superhero brawl in Shadowland.
