I always considered Matt to be in his mid thirties, but in DD #500 it states that it's been 18 years since Matt had his accident, and I always figured he was around 10 when that happened, so that would put him around 28, which is much younger than I thought.
How old do you guys think Matt is? |

In the issue titled "Warriors", Matt ruminates on his life and tells himself he's not even thirty yet. |

So that makes sense then. I guess he's probably in his late 20's |

I always felt he was in his early 30s. Older than Spiderman but not as old as Tony Stark - in the Hawkeye zone? Or Cyclops?
It's almost totally impossible for me to think of him packing all of his life into just 10 years since law school. Of course, it's a comic. And the respect he's granted as an attorney would be unusual for a 20-something, depsite his successes. He'd be called a young hot-shot more, were he in his '20s.
Oh, and I thought he seemed older under the pens of Bendis and Brubaker than ever before, by a wide margin. Remember that goatee? And the world-weariness. The way he talked to Reed Richards and Doc Strange? That dude seemed 35......
This is all just "feeling" - I'm not referring to specific issues or a timline or anyhting, as I suspect they would be useless in the compressed-time world of comics. |

I choose to believe that he's in his early 30s for no other reason than that I'm in my early 30s and refuse to be older than him. _________________ JC

Well Tony Stark said he was 39 not to long ago so Matt not being that much younger than him should be at least 34-35. _________________ kakkate kina.. |

Originally, Matt supposedly had his accident around age fifteen, so add eighteen onto that and he'd be about thirty-three, which makes total sense.
When the series started, he could have been old enough (almost) to be my father. Now I'm old enough to be Matt's mother. That's depressing, sort of. _________________ Alice

I think it is safe to say that he's in his early thirties by now since some time has passed since the events near that issue in which he says he's not even thirty yet.
Specifically, Bendis (in issue #32 if I'm not wrong) has some characters say it ("a couple of years ago Murdock did blah blah blah"). |

I've always thought of him as in his early to mid thirties.
I'd therefore not qualify to be old enough to be his father, more an older brother |

I have always thought that Matt would be "around my older brother's age" and the two have sort of simultaneously aged in my mind. It's odd to me that when I was reading in my teens, I thought Matt must be in his late twenties and that signified the age when people mystically got their crap together. Judging by the standard I got from Matt and my brother, I would say early thirties is when people start to go a little bat-sh** and marry the wrong person. I can hardly wait to hit my thirties! |
