i think that most of this is due to each readers perception of what the character should be. i remember hearing the same stuff about a number of different actors when being named to comic book roles...Michael Keaton, Tobey McGuire immediately come to mind. i'm sure that there were people that weren't thrilled with Hugh Jackman being cast a Wolverine, but there's little doubt he was the right guy for the role. if you check out the thread of actors to play DD in the sequal, you'll see nearly a dozen actors. it's all relative, so i don't see "isn't as bad as it could be" as being a sad standard, just the natural one as it relates to each fans expectations. |

I believe that the newer pic posted by Guardian Devil is Natasha in her civilian guise. That opens up a whole other can of worms as they've stated that the Black Widow is some sort of office aid/secretary type in Iron Man 2...WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY off from anything we're used to. _________________ https://twitter.com/tburnham7

guys, you know what that means, right?
Expect the widow to magically show up in Iron Man's book out of the blue by the time the movie is out.
JC and train: I see your points. Who knows, maybe her way of playing the character will prove my impression wrong. |

She's already appearing in the current Invincible Iron Man storyline. |

Which is no surprise. Is it just me or is Deadpool everywhere right now? And that's based on a character only kinda resembling him being in Wolverine and a promise of a Deadpool movie down the line. _________________ JC

Nope, it's not just you. I had this conversation with a friend the other day. I REALLY enjoy the character, but he's getting the Wolverine treatment lately (and I don't mean the appearance in the movie - which was TERRIBLE after the initial Wade Wilson bit). He's got two ongoing books, a mini that is finishing up, an appearance in one of the Spidey books and this newly solicited bogus #900 issue. It's too much and it's annoying as hell. _________________ https://twitter.com/tburnham7
