Meh, I don't he is so scary in the pic, she could just kick in the back or tie his legs or something. His costume is the least practical thing ever, I mean take a look at this list:
http://daredevil.dreamhost.com/ttstilts.htm
Also here are some other highlights from his career:
"Then Tony Stark tags him as one of the many villains who has ripped off his technology. As Iron Man, Stark catches Stilty in the middle of a robbery (in Iron Man #225, December 1987) and only needs two pages to clobber him and attach a little metal box to his back that scrambles all of the Stark-designed enhancements. But you can't keep a good Stilt-Man down. He returns in a number of embarrassing appearances in such issues as Fantastic Four #336, January 1990 (in which he is immediately defeated, dissed by the cops... "You know, pal, you got the best lookin' legs I've seen since Cindy Crawford!" says one officer, "You shouldn't be hidin' 'em under those stilts!"... And ends up screaming, "Police brutality!") and Avengers Annual #19, 1990 (in which he gets taken out by Percy and Francis of the construction crew who are rebuilding a damaged Avengers mansion). So much for rehabilitating the reputation."
If two construction workers can beat him, Widow should have no problem. seriously no matter how tall he is, he still sucks, there is no reason for Widow to be scared of him. I respect your opinion Gloria, but I must respectfully disagree. Plus the fact that he has no motive or personality makes him pretty lame too.
Seriously his cameo in Lowlife was likely the best written appearance he has ever had. If they reintroduce stilts to the DD universe they should give him better abilities and a better motive. |

Well, Wilbur is dead, so if a new Stilt-man is to resurface, he will surely have different motives.
Also, it is necessary to keep the general appearence of a stilt-man, that is "a villain with an armor with extendable legs", while at the same time removing the weaknessess that are inherent to this.
My suggestion in this sense would be to have the stilts made of independent, modular segments, that are allowed a small range of mutual rotation on any vertical plane (not unlike the segments of a centipede). That way the armor won't tip over if hit on a side, but will have enough flexibility to absorb the impact while maintaing a certain degree of stability. |

Maybe I should try writing a "Science of Stilt-man" post. I think Stilt-man would need a major overhaul in order to improve his status, starting with the name. Considering that his "stilts" are really high-tech hydraulic legs his choice of name comes across as a little too modest. Maybe he would have been better off with a name like Mr Hydraulics or something that sounds a little more tech savvy? _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

That sounds like a product you'd use to unclog your toilet if you ask me. |

To unclog the toilet? No, that would be The Plunger! _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

Ok, at least we can make a new superbaddies team, like the wrecking crew, for DD.
"The Hydraulics Crew"
So far this is the roster:
Mr Hydraulics
The Plunger
we need two more. |

There is a new Stilt-Man, who seems to have upgraded abilities, but it doesn't seem like they gave him a better motive:
