The Message Board is currently in read-only mode, as the software is now out of date. Several features and pages have been removed. If/When I get time I intend to re-launch the board with updated software.

Hi

My son just found DD#13, The secret of Kazars origin in a trash heap next door and am curious if there is any value to this comic.

It is in complete condition, but the cover is taped.

Please let me know as my son would like to know if he has found treasure or not.

Thanks.

It's prolly not worth that much. Sorry.

I can't quote exact pricing for you, but seeing as how I've got a #10 in similar condition and once looked it up just for the hell of it and came away unenthused, I figure I'd just pass that along.

If it were my kid, I'd make the comic disappear, give him 20 bucks, and say that's what I got for it. Then if he ever actually got curious about reading it, I've still got it.

You know, "Oh, I totally found it somehow. On the cheap. Read through it, kiddo!"

Then again, I've never met my kids. It's hard to keep track of the skanks I bang when the team's on the road.

However, IIRC, it contains one of the few appearences of the Plunderer (if not the first). And so, given that the guy was recently killed by the Punisher, people from the "Plunderer Fan Club " are probably hunting such issues. So maybe it's worth something more.
Hmm, on a second thought, maybe not.

Bwah-Ha-Ha XD XD

Now seriously, it would be good to check ebay and similar places and see how these items sell on average.

(And remember, the success of a sell relies in the advertising: "In this issue, we are revealed that Kazar's fur slip has an inside pocket: behold a milestone in Marvel's Mighty Underwear story!"

Yeah, I concede that. But who knows. Maybe even the Plunderer had fans.

Hey... if Gambit has fans, everything's possible!

And I like the Plunderer, he's got that old-movie-villain , moustache-twitching vintage manner which makes him rather endearing

Do you think if he had had his own Muttly, the Plunderer wouldn't have been killed?

Nah... they would have killed Muttly, too, in one of those boring big event macrosagas with loads of crossovers: they always kill characters gratuitously and randomly just to hype it up ("Next issue, someone dies: buy it!!")
