Fine, but Corruptor has something to do with it. He's on the cover of 100.

I think you are confusing Corruptor with Purple Man, that cover was showcasing DD's allies and enemies (Kingpin, Bullseye, the Hand, Gladiator, Owl, Typhoid Mary, etc) The purple figure is supposed to be Purple Man, he would be more likely to be considered a DD rogue than Corruptor. Plus I think that cover is symbolic, not literal.

Well the lighting sure doesn't make him look purple then.

The colouring in that cover is just weird, they gave Owl red and white hair. But Purple Man fits way better than Corruptor, the cover is supposed to show case DD's foe, since when was Corruptor a DD villain?

Just thinking about DD villains, I've kust remembered that Victor von Doom was once one of them, too: he even swapped bodies with Murdock (and didn't realize he was blind!!)... and he calls himself a genius.

Of course, Doom doesn't fit with the type of villain we expect for the current arc... and I believe that if he ever had to fight Daredevil, Victor would be nobler (which he is, in his own way) than the misterious villain who is harassing Matt right now.

Doom was never really a DD villain, he just gets in everyone's face sooner or later. If you have super powers and Doom thinks he can use them to his advantage, you will meet him, that doesn't being he is part of your rogues gallery. I doubt Doom spends even a second thinking about DD today.

Plus Doom's appearance in Silver Age DD is one of the weakest Doom stories.

Well, the issue finally reached these sunny shores. It was a gripping, terrific read.

First the nice , sunny items: oh I DIG Chico and Merv! I mean... Turk is their boss? I though that Turk was the lowest lifeform item in New York's Underworld... and now he leads a gang? Maybe he's campaigning to become the new Kingpin Laughing .

Definitely, these touches of humour (as Mr. Nelson affectionately teasing Matt) balance an otherwise very grim issue (story-wise)... and here comes the shadows, for Becky's friend Gus, for people just enjoying an evening walk in Chinatown, for people having a quiet time in a restaurant. It all gets upside down and sure there seems to be no explanation for the bloody upheaval... Other that some b*stard trying to turn (again) Matt's life by harming everyone on the way. I sign the petition for this villain (whoever he -she?- may be) getting a good kicking when he's eventually found. He's (she's?) got it coming.

About the blood-curling cliffhanger: What is going to happen with Milla is already sealed. issue 100 must be already on its way to the print if not in the preliminaries... I know that my fangirl comment is thus absolutely doomed to failure, but honest, I don't want to see her taking any harm, least of all die.

In the film "The Private Life of Henry VIII" there's a scene where the king marries Anne de Cleves in order to secure an alliance with another country. Although it is a marriage of convenience, the king is appalled to find that the girl is less attractive than he expected... and waay too smart. He's desperate: what will he do to get rid of her? behead her like he did with Anne BoleYn? It is Anne de Cleves -clever girl- who comes up with the solution "Why don't you just divorce me like a civilized man?".

By that I mean, If Marvel isn't confortable with having a married superhero, if they want to get Milla Donovan out of the series, well, there are more civilized ways to deal with that, other than having Melvin doing her any fatal harm... Of course this may be not what will be happen, and I am feeling alarmed without reason. I just don't want the fate of yet another woman of Matt to be the same of Karen Page. After Gwen Stacy... Did every girlfriend out of two of Peter Parker die, so he would have a miserable, but O, so interesting life?

Let Milla live, If you don't want her to be with Matt, well, let's have the "you go to Boston and I'll go to California" scenario: Milla stays in Hell's Kitchen, with her worthy job of finding the needy neighbourhood people a decent place to live in, and Matt goes to San Francisco again.
