DAREDEVIL: FATHER
By Joe Quesada, this 5 issue limited series revealed some very interesting things about DD and also introduced the Santerians. |

Daredevil:FATHER is a nice story. As a story i think it is over all a nice story but i'm not a big fan of the bulky-characters style.
I give it 3/5!! _________________

I was very disappointed with this. Quesada says he wrote this in tribute to his late father. My own father died around the time when this series was out. The Santerians appear out of nowhere and overwhelm the narrative. There is a needless and ultimately pointless costume change. But the real tragedy to me was that in the end, after all these pointless events, Quesada had no point, no insight, about father and son relationships. We basically had a parade of characters who had fathers, and fathers who had sons. And no point. Joe Quesada is a good artist, although I much prefer his artwork in Guardian Devil, and even more in Parts of a Hole. He is not a good writer, and a bad editor. |
