Issue Summary

Summary/Review by Michael Deeley

Years ago, before Wilson Fisk became the Kingpin, he had a "falling out" with an associate named "Kruel" Krueller. Their fight was witnessed by many people at a Pennsylvania diner. Among them were Karen Page, Foggy Nelson, Ben Urich, Glorianna O'Breen, and Kathy Malper. The diner was burned with Kruel inside. Fisk ordered his men to "burn the memories" of the witnesses.

Today, Kruel is alive and kicking. He's been attacking the witnesses from that day to help him remember who tried to kill him. He's already attacked Ben Urich and killed Glorianna. Daredevil, still thinking he's the reason behind these attacks, warns Kathy Malper. Kathy doesn't believe him until Kruel attacks them. Once Kruel recalls another detail about the "fat man" that beat him, he escapes. DD stays behind to help the injured Malper. Later, Daredevil confronts the only person he knows with the knowledge and the resources to attack those closest to Matt Murdock: Wilson Fisk.

Meanwhile, John Garrett, former cyborg agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., finds getting work is difficult when all your previous employment was with secret agencies and covert operations.
