Issue Summary

Summary by Michael Deeley

Daredevil fights Steel Collar and the new Killobyte who were attacking national Guardsmen. He finds the X-Man Gambit lurking in the shadows, and together they drive them away. Gambit gives Daredevil the number of a roving rave party for hackers; DD might find some answers there. He and Captain America go there in disguise. They learn Knowbot was stealing information about "line-eaters", secret monitoring programs that record all information traded through computer and phone lines. Cap expresses his distaste for the current state of martial law. And delivers his optimistic view for the good the internet can do. DD offers a more pessimistic view.

Karen Page watches the computer disk from her old producers about their new virtual sex service. They want her "talent". Angrily, she hits the computer. Suddenly, she sees grainy footage on the monitor of a teenage girl apparently being raped. She's sure she saw it, but she can't find it again.

Checking in with the supporting cast, Matt refuses Elektra's come-ons. He says he's trying to break form his past, and she should do the same. This only strengthens Elektra's determination. John Garrett is made a reserve S.H.I.E.L.D. agent by Nick Fury. He's closely watched by Siege, another cyborg. Foggy Nelson is offered a job by TV station WFET, owned by Wilson "Kingpin" Fisk. In prison, Sinclair's lawyer is "eaten" by Bitmap who seems to melt out of the ceiling.
