Fury thinks back to when he first discovered Gen. Kenkoy's secret experiments on the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier. He was not happy.
Siege finds Daredevil and Eddie talking about the About Face virus. Kenkoy spliced brain cells from telepath Theresea Bellweather into the virus, thus allowing the virus' action to be controlled by thought. Siege sees this as a chance to truly become human-if he ever was to begin with. The next day, Foggy argues with Matt about the work he's been missing. Foggy mentions Matt's "other life", but won't explain what he means.
The Snakeroot successfully take the dark part of Elektra's soul from John Garrett and implant it with a woman's corpse. The newly revived woman is sent to find "About Face" to permanently fuse the essence to her. Inspired by Elektra's Greek heritage, the woman is dubbed "Erynys".
Ben Urich fights off a burglar breaking into his apartment. The next day, his intern Sara arrives with injuries. Venom arrives in New York in his own terrifying style.
Later that night, the Snakeroot find Eddie Passim, along with Siege and Daredevil. In the fight, Gen. Kenkoy, now calling himself "Budo" of the Snakeroot, kidnaps Eddie. Another Snakeroot is killed by someone unseen with a sai. The rest of the Snakeroot flee, leaving Daredevil with a very angry Siege.
The highpoint of the issue, and most of the story, is a black and white, 2-page splash of the fight. It's really amazing how much better the art looks without colors.
