Issue Summary

Summary by johndunbar

*Conversation support group meeting, St. Mary's Church

Jennifer Norton, holding a cross with her, recounts about her husband making headlines, one in particular The Secret Life of a Supervillian, detailing his killing of young women and girls.

The Reverend asks if there were any signs of his behavior.

Doris, the dark haired lady who wears a Cross around her neck from previous issues, pressures her to answer the Reverend.

Jennifer says a few months ago she went down into the basement and heard her husband having a conversation with a little scar faced demon, but repressed the memory until after he was in jail.

Doris stands up, calls her a liar, slaps her, gets her on the ground, and tells her not to spread that lie in the House of God which hurt Doris' life. Doris says she was the last victim. The man wore a mask and was dressed in black as he pulled a knife on her in a parking garage.

Daredevil showed up to stop the attack, shielded the woman with his body as the man set fire with his eyes to the garage. DD chases the man even though his shoulder is on fire, as Doris watches with thankfulness and shock. She sees them fight on a rooftop, as DD kicks the man off the building. She screams, but DD catches the man with his club. DD goes back to check on Doris, and she collapses in his arms.

Doris says she came to talk about Daredevil, not listen to delusions about the serial murdering husband of Jennifer.

The Reverend wants to end the meeting, but everyone is speaking over him as a woman tries to get his attention to show them something on a piece of paper. Lawrence, the man who said he had the answers Matt Murdock hides, is smirking the whole time. The paper is a drawing the woman's daughter made before she killed herself last week. Daredevil saved her daughter's life from the Jester, and wants to know why her daughter gouged out her eyes after she drew the demon Jennifer described.
