Issue Summary

TWELVE YEARS AGO

Matt and Elektra lay in bed, proclaiming that they don't ever want to leave the room...

TODAY

Matt wonders aloud what Elektra is doing on his roof. She says that she got a call from the Widow, that Matt needed to speak with her immediately. Matt stumbles upon answers to give, so Elektra bolts, profressing that it wasn't a good idea that she came. Matt catches up, and he asks Elektra why she came... did the Widow think the sight of Elektra would snap Matt out of his funk? Matt tries to explain his predicament. Elektra explains that the only death that you can take responsiblity for is the one that you commit with your own hand. Matt digests the words. But Matt lets his feelings slip... he recalls the college years, wishing they had never left the room. With that, Elektra bolts again, leaving Matt embarassed. Matt detects that Elektra's heartrate didn't budge.

The next morning, the Daily Globe's laywer, Mr. Ingersol, meets with Foggy and Matt. Ingersol lets them know that they won't just roll over with the lawsuit Matt has brought on them. They will fight Matt for everything he has. While Ingersol rants, Matt pulls out the paper Vanessa Fisk gave him... the name of the FBI agent who sold him out.

That night, Daredevil appears at the window of FBI agent Henry Dobbs. DD doesn't say anything, but it clearly freaks out Dobbs. And just as quickly, DD is gone.

The next day, at the Daily Globe's offices, the publisher, Mr. Rosenthal, tries to negotiate a settlement of $10 million. With their only source now missing, Rosenthal can only settle. Matt wants $200 million and a front page apology. Rosenthal counters with $40 million and no apology. Matt says $150 million, apology on front. It's finally settled at $75 million and front page (lower right hand corner) apology. But Matt says the money should go to some charities. Rosenthal is clearly irked... he says the deal is off. He wants to fight Matt in court... he's just annoyed with Matt's smugness.
