Issue SummaryMatt awakes to sounds outside his house. From what he hears, he knows his life is over...
Reporters are at his door. Foggy arrives and tells the reporters that the article in the paper is someone's idea of a joke. He gets inside before he has to answer any questions.
Matt asks for a copy of the paper. Matt wonders aloud how this could happen.
The FBI agents are told to leave Matt Murdock alone. Henry, one of the agents, has to meet up with Sherry (girlfriend? wife?) before she leaves for work. It's 7AM. He finally meets her, and they fight over the time he spends at work. It's apparent that they have money problems too.
Henry gets in his car and drives around. He ends up at the Nelson and Murdock offices. He sees Foggy leave. He eventually goes into the office and asks for Matt. The temp at the reception desk gives Henry a hard time, using the exact dialogue that another temp used in the Wake Up arc. Matt's not available.
Henry decides to go to Matt Murdock's house. It's late now, but he sees the Black Widow enter Murdock's house on the roof. She then leaves.
Back at the FBI, the other agent asks Henry what he's been doing all day. SHIELD has taken over the Murdock file. On Henry's computer, there's an article of a DD/Widow fight with the Stilt-Man. Henry keeps staring at a picture of him and Sherry.
Later, Henry calls a newspaper at a payphone. He asks about paying for stories. He has a big story to tell.
Matt Murdock never imagined it would come to this. He always thought Spidey would probably be the one who would be found out. Foggy tells Matt he's in this fight with him, he's not going to let Matt fight alone. They discuss how Matt can come clean. Foggy says this means Matt would be disbarred and sent to jail. Foggy says they should deny everything and sue anyone who says anything more. But Matt keeps thinking who did this to him. It could be anyone, considering how careless he has been. Foggy wonders maybe if it's time for Daredevil to retire.
