Issue Summary

Summary by Eric Shaw

It's swing-time in Manhattan as Daredevil and Spider-Man are both out on patrol. DD is lost in thought about another blown date and how he's haunted by his love for Karen. Spidey sees Daredevil cruise by and begins to admire him for having no public relation problems.

Meanwhile Foggy is awakened in his home by some thugs! But we're quickly taken back to Spider-Man and his own tortured thoughts of his relationship with Gwen Stacy. At his apartment Peter Parker barely gets his clothes changed before a very blond MJ comes calling. Peter gives her the bums rush though in order to check out some commotion in the street. Way ta' go Tiger!

At the same time DD becomes aware of a bright light in the distance. New York's finest are already on the scene when the light source begins to ask for Namor, the Sub-Mariner! Cripes! Lo and behold Subby is in the crowd and quickly sheds his bowery duds. Just then ol' Horn Head pops in and jumps to the conclusion that Namor is responsible for the odd light and crowd gathering. They fight and fight and fight and fight...until Spider-man arrives and joins the attack on Namor. Then they fight and fight and fight. Suddenly the tear drop shaped light explodes!

Meanwhile who should arrive back in Manhattan but Karen Page and it's her turn to be tortured by the thoughts of Matt.

Back at the exploding tear drop a woman appears again asking for Namor to accompany her. He accepts and Spider-Man goes with as the light shoots off. DD feels suddenly even more depressed than usual and as he swings into his apartment the phone rings and is then dead. We see Karen hanging up on the other end.

As for Spidey and Namor? The mag says see the April (1971) issue of Sub-Mariner.

There a letter in Let's Level with Daredevil from Bob Rozarkis again.
