Years ago, Gen. Harry Kenkoy joins the Snakeroot and tells them of the About Face virus.
Today, Siege and Daredevil rescue Bisento from the Snakeroot. Bisento has betrayed the group out of disgust over their actions. He tells Daredevil of their plans to fuse Elektra's darkness to Erynys. Suddenly, Venom grabs Bisento. DD and Siege fight, but Venom gets away. Daredevil knows he has to force a showdown among everyone seeking the virus before more innocents are harmed. They later track Venom to the USS Intrepid. Once they've got Venom subdued, Daredevil convinces him true heroism comes from overcoming one's handicaps. Erasing his weaknesses would cost him the edge that makes him better than Spider-Man. Venom agrees, and returns to San Francisco.
Sara goes to the Big Apple Advocate, a low-level tabloid, with a story about Matt Murdock being Daredevil. (She stole it from Ben Urich's computer.) The Advocate's editors are worried about being sued for libel. So Sara suggests the headline, "Matt Murdock is Daredevil?"
Foggy finds Karen Page working for her anti-pornography group. He wants her to talk to Matt about what's bothering him lately. Karen's reluctant to talk to her old boyfriend, but realizes it must be something big to distract him from the law practice.
At the Snakeroot's hideout, Eddie Passim is about to be tortured for the location of the About Face virus he lost 30 years ago. Just then, the newly rebuilt John Garrett and newly alive Erynys enter the room.
As much as I dislike the art in this story, and Scott McDaniel's work in general, I am glad he made no attempt to imitate Bill Sienkiewicz's style when drawing John Garrett. That would have been disastrous.
