Issue Summary

Summary by Eric Shaw

The Death-Stalker has captured Foggy and his sister Candace. Our hero busts in the scene and drives off the Stalker. In pursuit Daredevil falls to the Touch of Death but is saved in the nick of time by a passing cop. They both gang up on the Death-Stalker but he maddeningly escapes. Matt changes costumes and goes back to Foggy's pad to untie the Nelsons. They had been originally kidnapped by the Gladiator to get some papers that Candace had found while doing research. The papers are on a process to change men into pollution breathing monsters worked on by Theodore Sallis aka Man-Thing. DD had found this out when he followed the Death-Stalker.

Meanwhile back in San-Fran The Black Widow and Ivan are hanging out in the park going through the classifieds. She's antsy and upset, he's the voice of reason.

Ok, back to the action. Now that Candace is a fugitive because of the sensitive papers she found, the boys must get a plan together. Foggy goes to talk to the federal prosecutor and Candace tries to seduce Matt. Nothing doing. Matt just wants to talk. Candace obliges and reveals that the papers weren't destroyed in the first place because they could have military applications.

But enough gabbing! Daredevil manages to track down the Death-Stalker in a chemical plant once owned by Norman Osborne. Now the fight continues around vats of boiling chemicals including hydrochloric acid. Finally DD manages to ensnare the Death-Stalkers hands as he reaches for our hero. With a twist DD flips Death-Stalker into the vat of acid along with the papers Candace had recovered. Now the government has no case against her and a threat has passed.

Issue note: an ad for The Incredible Hulk 181 is given a quarter page for what will be Wolverine's first appearance.
