Marvel released some casting information for the Punisher series today.
Actor Ben Barnes will be "Bill Russo", Frank Castle's best friend from his special forces days.
Ebon Moss-Bachrach will play "Micro", and actress Amber Rose Revah will play "Dinah Madani", a Homeland Security agent.

Also hidden in the press release is word that Punisher will be released in 2017!
That must mean the show needs to be filming soon... and coincidentally, we found out that it has been shooting for a week now, and there are some pics from the set... including a spoiler below, so be warned!
